BBG charges consumers’ credit and debit cards for phone calls made through its service under the various fictitious business names, listed above, this would frustrate consumers’ efforts to identify the actual entity that charged their credit or debit cards; which is BBG Communications, Inc.  To the extent BBG also includes a 1-800 number beside the fictitious business name on the credit or debit card statement, customer service representatives have answered the 1-800 number and identified  themselves as working for International Satellite Communications or another of the fictitious business name listed above.  This conduct effectively prevents consumers from identifying the actual entity that overcharges them for phone calls and to prevent consumers from taking action against BBG Communications, Inc. for the purpose of obtaining restitution of their wrongfully taken money.

BBG does not usually disclose anything about the fact it services a particular pay phone.  On some pay phones, however, BBG displays its name and posts pictures of major credit card logos, but does not disclose that it will charge users additional fees or rates if they pay for the phone service with a credit card; nor does BBG disclose any of the fees or rates it charges for making phone calls by voice once a caller initiates a long distance phone call.

Internet consumer complaint boards are bulging with complaints about BBG’s charges and exploitation.  Consumers complain that BBG does not reveal or post the rates, fees and charges it will impose on their credit cards for using its long distance phone service.  Further, many consumers complain that they tried to find-out what rates and fees they would be charged but the systems BBG employs do not allow users to get this information before they provide their credit card information.  Once the credit card information is provided, or the card is swiped, the consumer no longer has control or the ability to avoid unwanted charges, rates or fees. It seems that a perfect trap has been created.  Don’t tell people before they use a phone what it will cost, or lie and tell them a low fee that won’t be charged if you pay by credit card; the only way anyone will pay for making a long distance pay call.  Once you have the credit card information the operator charges exorbitant rip-off rates.  To get your money back requires spending excessive time and is made so frustrating that most consumers give-up and go away.

Eppsteiner Law, APC, has sued BBG Communications and BBG Global claiming it conducts itself in violation of California law.  If you’ve been victimized by BBG don’t accept its ripoff, you can do something about it and it won’t that time consuming.  Call Stuart Eppsteiner at 800-258-7126 or send him an email and explain your situation.  At least some of LAX airport pay phones receive their phone service from BBG.  Don’t accept this rip-off get help now!
